Profiles
Updated August 24, 2026
Profiles is the single list of everywhere your locations appear online. Each row is one location on one platform: a Google Business Profile, a Facebook page or a third-party directory listing. Its status tells you whether the details published there still match what you keep in Pluspoint. Use it when you want to know which listings are wrong, which are missing, and which need an action from you.
Before you start
- Viewing the page needs Locations access (
locations:restrictedorlocations:full). You only see rows for the locations assigned to your team. See Users and permissions.- Resolving conflicts, verifying, switching sync on or off, and publishing need full Locations access (
locations:full) on that specific location.- Sync controls and the status chart need an active Google integration on the account. See Google Business Profile.
- Directory rows appear only for accounts that have Local Directories available and for locations in a supported country. See Local Directories.
Where to find it
Locations → Profiles, or go to https://app.pluspoint.io/locations/profiles.
What a row represents
| Row type | Where it comes from | What Pluspoint can do with it |
|---|---|---|
| The account’s Google integration, linked to a Pluspoint location | Read the listing and push changes back to Google | |
| The account’s Facebook integration, linked to a Pluspoint location | Read the page and push changes back to Facebook | |
| Directory | Third-party directories such as Apple Maps, Bing, TripAdvisor and Yelp, covered by Local Directories | Report whether the listing exists and whether the details match; once the location is published, keep the listing in sync |
Google and Facebook rows are the only ones you can resolve field by field, and the only ones with a sync switch. Directory rows are read-only observations until the location is published through Local Directories.
Without an active Google integration, the sync controls and status chart are hidden and the table only lists the rows you have. Connect Google under Settings → Integrations — this needs full Settings access (settings:full).
Status chips
| Chip | What it means |
|---|---|
| Synced | Every key field on the platform matches Pluspoint. Profiles with ignored fields also show as Synced |
| Conflict | At least one field differs between Pluspoint and a verified Google or Facebook profile, or between Pluspoint and a directory listing |
| Not found | A directory has no listing for this location at all |
| Not verified | The Google profile is not verified, so Pluspoint cannot manage the listing |
| In progress | A read or a push is running, or the location’s Local Directories publishing handover is still under way |
| Disconnected | The account integration behind this profile was disconnected or revoked |
| Disabled | Profile sync is switched off for this row |
Note Not published is a chart slice and a filter value, not a chip. A location that is missing from a directory shows the Not found chip, and the filter that finds those rows is Not published.
While a location’s Local Directories publishing is being set up, its directory rows behave differently. Every row that is not already Synced shows In progress, and its field differences stay hidden until the handover finishes.
Run a sync on demand
- Go to Locations → Profiles.
- Select Start sync.
Start sync re-reads every sync-enabled Google and Facebook profile in the account and recalculates the differences. It pushes nothing to the platforms and does not touch directory rows. Resolutions you save are pushed on their own.
Left alone, Pluspoint re-reads every sync-enabled Google and Facebook profile automatically about once a week. Field changes you confirm in the conflict resolver are pushed within about a minute.
Filter and export the list
- Select Filters.
- Set any combination of Locations, Platforms and Status.
- Select Apply filters.
| Filter | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Locations | Every location that has at least one profile, grouped by brand | All |
| Platforms | The platforms and directories present on the selected locations | All |
| Status | Synced, Conflict, Not published, In progress, Disabled | All five |
Apply filters stays disabled while any of the three lists is empty, so leave at least one value selected in each.
Select Export as CSV to download the filtered list as profiles-YYYY-MM-DD.csv. Column headers and status names in the file are always in English.
The page also accepts filters in the URL: ?view=[2] opens it filtered to conflicts, ?locationId=<id> scopes it to one location, and adding &type=directories narrows it to that location’s directory rows.
Act on a row
Open the ⋮ menu at the right end of a row.
| Menu item | When it appears | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Open profile | The listing has a public URL | Opens the live listing in a new tab |
| Resolve conflicts | A verified Google or Facebook row with differing or ignored fields, and you have locations:full there | Opens the conflict resolver. See Resolving profile conflicts |
| Verify | The Google profile is not verified | Opens the Google verification flow |
| Reconnect | The row is Disconnected and you have settings:full | Takes you to Settings → Integrations to reconnect |
| Disable profile sync | A Google or Facebook row with sync on, and you have locations:full there | Stops syncing this row |
| Enable profile sync | A Google or Facebook row with sync off, and you have locations:full there | Resumes syncing this row |
| Publish | A directory row, on an account whose plan covers directory publishing | Publishes the location to the directories |
| Upgrade | A directory row, on an account whose plan does not cover directory publishing | Opens the Local Directories add-on window |
A directory row never offers Resolve conflicts or a sync switch — its only actions are Open profile and either Publish or Upgrade.
Turn profile sync off for a row
- Open the ⋮ menu on the Google or Facebook row.
- Select Disable profile sync.
The row becomes Disabled, any queued push is dropped, and the weekly sync skips it. Selecting Enable profile sync puts the row back to In progress and reads the platform immediately.
Reconnect a disconnected platform
A Disconnected chip means the account-level integration behind the profile is gone, not that the listing was deleted. Nothing syncs until it is reconnected.
- Open the ⋮ menu and select Reconnect, which takes you to Settings → Integrations.
- Reconnect the platform. This needs full Settings access (
settings:full). - The rows return to In progress at the next read and then settle into their real status.
Listing issues banner
The warning banner under the page header counts the rows in Conflict plus the rows that are not published, and appears when the account can use Local Directories. It points you at Local Directories, which fixes those listings and keeps them in sync.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| A row has no ⋮ menu | There is no action available to you on that row | Ask an account admin for full Locations access (locations:full) on that location |
| The menu offers Verify instead of Resolve conflicts | The Google profile is unverified | Verify it first, then resolve. See Resolving profile conflicts |
| A row sits at In progress for a long time | A push is retrying, or Local Directories publishing is still handing over | Pushes retry with growing delays for up to 24 hours; directory handovers can take several days |
| Every row for one platform shows Disconnected | The account integration was disconnected or revoked | Reconnect it in Settings → Integrations with settings:full |
| Start sync does not change a directory row | Directory rows are refreshed by the directory scan, not by Start sync | See Local Directories for the scan cadence |
| Apply filters is greyed out | One of Locations, Platforms or Status has nothing selected | Select at least one value in each list |
| A location has no directory rows at all | The account does not have Local Directories available, or the location’s country is not supported | Check the location’s country and see Local Directories |
| ”Couldn’t export data as CSV” | The export request failed | Narrow the filters and export again |
