Connecting LinkedIn lets you write and schedule LinkedIn posts in Pluspoint together with the rest of your social posts. A LinkedIn connection can offer more than one publish target. Those targets are the personal profile of the person who authorised it, plus any LinkedIn Company Pages they administer. Each target is attached to a Pluspoint location.

Before you start

Your team’s Account Settings permission must be Full, or you must be the account owner.

Sign in as the LinkedIn member you want to publish from — their personal profile, and where applicable the Company Pages they administer.

Create at least one location first — publish targets are attached to locations.

Posting to a Company Page depends on LinkedIn granting Pluspoint’s application access to LinkedIn’s Community Management API. Where that access is not in place, the connection offers the personal profile only.

Where to find it

Settings → Integrations, or go to https://app.pluspoint.io/account-settings/integrations.

Connect a LinkedIn account

Select Add integration.
Type LinkedIn into Search integrations, then select Connect on the LinkedIn row.
Pluspoint sends you to LinkedIn’s authorisation page. Sign in as the member you want to publish as.
Authorise the access LinkedIn lists. Declining fails the connect.
When LinkedIn returns you to Pluspoint, the Manage integration modal opens listing the available publish targets.
Map each target to a location and select Save.

Note Finish the authorisation within 10 minutes of selecting Connect. The authorisation request expires after that and you have to start again from Add integration.

Access Pluspoint requests

Permission	What Pluspoint uses it for

Company Page publishing needs additional organisation permissions, which LinkedIn only grants to applications it has vetted for its Community Management API. Pluspoint requests those permissions only when that access applies to your connection. Otherwise LinkedIn’s consent screen shows the two permissions above, and the connection publishes to the personal profile.

Map publish targets to locations

The Manage integration modal lists each publish target:

For each target, choose Connect to location and pick a location from the Location dropdown, or choose Don’t connect.
Select Save.

The Location dropdown hides locations that already have a LinkedIn target attached, so each location holds at most one.

Reopen the modal at any time with Manage on the LinkedIn row. You can also start from the location: open a location at https://app.pluspoint.io/locations/manage, find the Integrations section and use Connect Profile on the LinkedIn row.

Note You can connect several LinkedIn accounts. Each authorising member gets their own row with their own publish targets.

What connecting LinkedIn gives you

Publishing, and nothing else — LinkedIn brings no reviews and no conversations into Pluspoint. Write posts in Creating and scheduling posts and review their performance in Social analytics.

Reconnect a LinkedIn account

A row shows Reconnect when its status is Disconnected — access was withdrawn in LinkedIn, the member’s credentials changed, or the stored token could no longer be refreshed. Pluspoint emails the account when this happens. A healthy connection normally maintains itself.

Select Reconnect on the LinkedIn row.
Sign in as the same LinkedIn member and authorise again.

Reconnecting the same member restores that connection’s location links. Signing in as a different member creates a new row instead.

Disconnect a LinkedIn account

Select Delete on the LinkedIn row, or Delete at the bottom left of the Manage integration modal.
Confirm on the Delete integration? dialog.

What happens	Detail
Publish targets removed	The profile records for the personal profile and any Company Pages on that connection are deleted. LinkedIn carries no reviews, so no review data is lost.
Location links removed	The LinkedIn connection is removed from each linked location and the row disappears from the table.
Publishing stops	Scheduled posts can no longer be published to those targets.
The location’s LinkedIn link stays	The LinkedIn URL saved on the location’s social links is a location field, so it survives the disconnect.

Deleting one LinkedIn row leaves any other connected LinkedIn accounts untouched. To withdraw Pluspoint’s access at LinkedIn as well, remove the application in your LinkedIn account settings.

Troubleshooting
