CoverManager
Updated August 24, 2026
CoverManager connects your restaurant booking system to Pluspoint. Reservations become contacts with a dated activity you can trigger automations from. The satisfaction feedback your guests leave after a booking arrives as survey responses, alongside the ones your own surveys collect. Use it when you want the post-visit follow-up to fire from the booking system rather than from a QR code or a manual send.
Before you start
- Account Settings permission set to Full — the Integrations tab is hidden from everyone else.
- Your account Locale must be Spain. CoverManager is only listed in Add integration on Spanish accounts. Check the setting under Settings → Account.
- Your CoverManager API key. CoverManager issues it — request it from your CoverManager contact, as Pluspoint cannot generate one.
- A Pluspoint location for each restaurant you want to link.
- An active subscription that is inside its location and user limits.
Where to find it
Settings → Integrations, or go to https://app.pluspoint.io/account-settings/integrations.
Connect CoverManager
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Click Add integration and find CoverManager.
- Click Connect.
- Paste the key into the apiKey field and click Connect.
On success the Manage integration modal opens straight away so you can attach the restaurants it found.
Only one CoverManager account can be connected per Pluspoint account. Running the connect flow again replaces the stored key.
Link restaurants to locations
Match CoverManager restaurants to Pluspoint locations in the Manage integration modal. It opens automatically after connecting, and the Manage button on the CoverManager row reopens it at any time.
- For each restaurant, choose one of the two options:
- Connect to location — then pick the location from the Location dropdown.
- Don’t connect — leave the restaurant out.
- Click Save.
One location can carry only one restaurant, so the Location dropdown hides locations that already hold a CoverManager connection.
You can also link a single restaurant from the location itself: Locations → Manage → open the location → Integrations → the CoverManager row → Connect Profile.
What the integration keeps in sync
| Data | Schedule | Where it lands |
|---|---|---|
| Reservations | About once an hour | A contact is created or matched on the guest’s phone number or email address, and a CoverManager entry is written to the contact’s activity timeline |
| Guest feedback | Once a day | Surveys → All responses, carrying a CoverManager chip instead of a survey template name |
Because reservations write a dated activity, they can start an automation. Build one in Campaigns → Automated and pick CoverManager reservation as the trigger event. The trigger only appears once the integration is connected.
On Surveys → All responses and on the Surveys analytics tabs, the Surveys filter gains a CoverManager option, so you can look at booking-system feedback on its own or exclude it.
Disconnecting CoverManager
- On the CoverManager row, click Delete. The same confirmation is available from the red Delete button inside the Manage integration modal.
- Confirm in the Delete integration? dialog.
Every CoverManager link on your locations flips to Disconnected, so reservations and feedback stop arriving. Contacts, activities and responses already imported stay exactly as they are.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| CoverManager is not in the Add integration list | The account Locale is not Spain, or CoverManager is already connected | Check Settings → Account. Only one CoverManager connection exists per account, so it drops off the list once connected |
| The Integrations tab is missing or greyed out | You do not have Account Settings set to Full, or the subscription has expired or exceeded plan limits | Ask an account owner or a full-access admin, or resolve the billing issue on Settings → Billing |
| ”CoverManager is not connected” | The integration was deleted or has become inactive | Reconnect it from Settings → Integrations, then check the restaurant links in Manage integration |
| ”We couldn’t load profiles for this account. Please try again.” | The restaurant list could not be fetched | Click Retry. If it keeps failing, the stored key may no longer be valid — reconnect with a fresh key |
| Save is disabled in Manage integration | A row is set to Connect to location with no location selected, or nothing has changed | Pick a location for every such row, or set it to Don’t connect |
| A location is missing from the Location dropdown | It already holds a CoverManager connection | Disconnect the restaurant currently linked to it, then try again |
| No contacts or activities arrive from reservations | The restaurant is set to Don’t connect, so its bookings have no location to land on | Open Manage integration, set the restaurant to Connect to location, pick its location and Save. Only linked restaurants are read |
| CoverManager reservation is missing from the automation trigger list | The integration is not connected on this account | Connect it under Settings → Integrations first |
| No feedback appears in All responses | The feedback import runs once a day | Reservations arrive sooner, about hourly; feedback can take up to a day |
