Adding review platforms
Updated September 3, 2026
Pluspoint reads Google and Facebook reviews through their official integrations and iFood through its own. Every other review site — Yelp, Trustpilot, TripAdvisor, TheFork, Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, Healthgrades, Zocdoc and RateMDs — is collected for you from the public listing. You point Pluspoint at that listing by adding a review platform to the location. From then on its reviews land in the All reviews feed, count in analytics, and the platform can be offered as a review site at the end of your surveys.
Before you start
- You need full Locations access covering the location. See Users and permissions.
- Reviews from these platforms are only collected while the account is on a paid plan or an unexpired free trial that is within its user and location quotas. You can add a platform on any plan, but nothing arrives until the account qualifies. See Billing and plans.
- Have the public address of your listing on the site ready. Open the listing in a browser and copy it from the address bar.
- For Google and Facebook, connect the official integration whenever you can — it also lets you publish Google replies from Pluspoint and keeps the listing in sync. Add a manual Google or Facebook platform only for a listing you cannot connect. See Google Business Profile and Facebook and Instagram.
Where to find it
Locations → Manage locations, open the location, then scroll to Review platforms. Or go to https://app.pluspoint.io/locations/manage and select the location.
Add a platform
- Select Add review platform.
- Choose the Platform.
- Paste the listing address into Profile URL. For Google there is no URL to paste — type the business name in Search business on Google and pick it from the results.
- Select Connect.
The platform appears in the list immediately and the first collection starts straight away. Allow up to a day for its reviews to show in All reviews. After that the platform is refreshed about once a day.
Connect stays disabled until the address passes the check for the chosen platform: it must be a full address starting with https:// on that platform’s own domain, and for some platforms it must be the listing page itself rather than a search or category page.
Which address to paste
| Platform | Paste |
|---|---|
| Yelp | The business page, for example https://www.yelp.com/biz/<business-name> |
| Trustpilot | The company’s review page, https://www.trustpilot.com/review/<domain> |
| TripAdvisor | The listing page — its address contains Restaurant_Review-, Hotel_Review- or Attraction_Review- |
| TheFork | The restaurant page — its address ends in -r<number>. Any TheFork country site works; Pluspoint stores it as https://www.thefork.com/restaurant/<name>-r<number> |
| Deliveroo | The restaurant page |
| Uber Eats | The store page — its address contains /store/. A search or city page is refused |
| Booking.com | The property page, https://www.booking.com/hotel/<country>/<name>.html |
| Hotels.com, Expedia | The property page |
| Healthgrades, Zocdoc, RateMDs | The practitioner’s or practice’s profile page |
The page address, for example https://www.facebook.com/<page-name>. A profile.php address must include its id= part | |
| No address — search the business by name |
Booking.com replies
Booking.com only accepts replies through its Extranet, so the drawer offers an extra Booking.com Extranet link field. Paste any link from that property’s Extranet (admin.booking.com) or the property ID, and Copy and open on a Booking.com review takes you straight to the Extranet reviews page. The field is optional: leave it empty and Pluspoint tries to work the link out from the listing. If replies keep opening the public page instead, edit the platform and fill it in.
Uber Eats
Uber Eats publishes only a selection of a store’s five-star reviews. Pluspoint collects that selection, so counts and averages for Uber Eats reflect it rather than every rating the store has received.
What happens once reviews arrive
- The reviews appear in All reviews and the platform becomes selectable in the Review sites filter. Reviews with text are analysed for categories and keywords like any other. See All reviews.
- None of these sites accept replies through Pluspoint. You write the reply in Pluspoint and use Copy and open to paste it on the site, and the review then counts as answered in your reporting. See Replying to reviews.
- Auto-replies never touch them — rules post to Google only.
- The platform is offered under Review sites in survey templates that cover the location, so customers who finish a survey can be sent straight to your page on that site. See Creating survey templates.
One listing used by several locations
If the listing you paste is already connected to another location in your account, Pluspoint does not collect it twice. The location you are editing gets the platform marked Shared instead: the reviews stay on the location that connected the listing first, while this location can still offer the platform as a review site in its surveys.
A Shared platform cannot be edited from this location — change the address on the location that owns it. It can be removed here, which only detaches it from this location.
When the location already has its own entry for that platform and you paste a listing that belongs to another location, the add is refused with This online profile is already connected to another location. Remove this location’s entry first if the other listing is the right one.
Change or remove a platform
The pencil icon reopens the drawer with the current address. The trash icon removes the platform after a confirmation.
Warning
- Pointing a platform at a different listing deletes every review Pluspoint stored from the old one, and collection starts again from the new listing. Correcting the address of the same listing keeps the reviews.
- Removing a platform deletes all of its reviews from Pluspoint, including replies you recorded on them. They leave the feed and analytics immediately, and there is no undo. Survey templates keep the platform ticked under Review sites, so the button returns if you add the platform again.
Google and Facebook without the official integration
A manual Google platform is useful when you do not manage the Google Business Profile listing yourself but still want to read its reviews. Once the official integration covers the location, the manual option disappears from the Platform list and the connected profile’s reviews take over — see Connected profiles take priority. Disconnecting the integration later swaps the visible set back, so review counts can change at that moment.
The same applies to a manual Facebook platform and the Facebook integration.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Invalid URL under Profile URL | The address is not a full https:// link on that platform’s domain, or it is a search, city or category page rather than the listing | Open the listing in a browser, copy the address bar, and compare with Which address to paste |
| The platform is missing from the Platform list | The location already has it — as its own entry or as Shared — or Google or Facebook is covered by the official integration | Edit the existing entry, or manage the platform through the integration |
| This online profile is already connected to another location | The listing belongs to another location and this location already has its own entry for that platform | Remove this location’s entry first, or keep the two listings separate |
| No reviews after a day | The account is not on a paid plan or trial within its quotas, the address points at the wrong page, or the listing has no public reviews yet | Check Billing and plans, then open the stored address from the list and confirm it is your listing |
| Fewer Uber Eats reviews than the store shows | Uber Eats publishes only a selection of five-star reviews | Nothing to do — the selection is all that is available |
| Reviews vanished after editing a platform | The new address points at a different listing, which resets the platform’s reviews | Expected. They are collected again from the new listing within about a day |
| Google or Facebook review counts changed after connecting the integration | The connected profile’s reviews replace the manual listing’s set | See All reviews |
| Copy and open on a Booking.com review opens the public page | No Extranet link is stored for the property yet | Edit the platform and fill in Booking.com Extranet link |
| The location is not offered in the Locations filter of All reviews | It has no review-producing platform or profile yet | Add a platform, or connect an integration |
